The Park offers . . .

The Grounds to the Park are open year round, so come on out and enjoy some peace, quiet and history!

The Visitors Center and Monument are open Friday through Monday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Closed Tuesday through Thursday.

BUT, if you have a group (minimum of 10 individuals please) that would like to visit during the days we are closed, please call and let us put you on our schedule and we will gladly open up just for your group! We need 48 hours notice before your planned arrival to secure approval from the State and to notify our staff and get them on grounds.

What do we have to offer at the park? Well, lets see....

Visitors Center, Gift Shop and Museum:

The gift shop in the Visitor's Center features many unique and hard to find "War Between the States" items including books, flags, chess sets and many other models and figurines. You will also find an exciting line of Civil War t-shirts and caps. Kentucky made items as well as food products and an impressive selection of Kentucky books make this gift shop a must see!

Our visitor's center features exhibits detailing Davis' political life before,
during and after the Civil War and the building of the monument. Also told is the little known story of the Kentucky "Orphan Brigade."

PEACE AND QUIET:

There are a number of historical markers on the grounds of the Park, be sure and view each of them and get a deeper look into the man this place is dedicated to.

Lean back under one of our many trees! Listen to the birds and insects. Maybe you will get lucky and some of our Mennonite neighbors will journey past or through the park!
